John Cote
Singer / Songwriter
In the beginning of his journey, John Coté had a musical vision of what life should sound like.
The child of a classical pianist, John Coté (rhymes with roadie) mastered the guitar at a young age, leaving his native state of Maine to study music technology at New York University, where he built his first synthesizer and established Electrox Studios while attending college.
He would go on to become a top model, later entering into a collaborative effort to create the first Stephen King short movie. He also wrote and recorded music with Fred Schneider of “the B-52’s.” Coté and Schneider’s song “Monster” rose to the top 100 in the 1980s.
Several years ago, Coté joined forces with singer/songwriter Reckless Ray “The Rev” Roberts to form the band “Reckless and Wild.” During the pandemic, “Wild” John Coté and his sidekick Ray—a real-life Presbyterian minister--unveiled their first record, “At The Movies,” available on Amazon, Spotify and Apple Music.
Cote’s newest record “In the Beginning,” chronicles a wide range of styles and stories. Whether you like love songs or life tales, his unique mix provides something for everyone!
